Bicycle rentals in Burugndy

Cycle along the Burgundy Canal
With this option you can easily cycle back to Dijon following the Vélo Route on the Burgundy Canal, this route is dedicated to bicycles and there are no cars allowed.
For lunch you can prepare a picnic lunch or there are a couple of places beside the canal where you can buy a drink and something to eat, truly a wonderful day!!
Three routes for you to choose from :
From Pouilly-en-Auxois to Dijon (45kms)
Cycle route over the "Burgundy threshold" tunnel (3350 metres) and then beside the Burgundy Canal passing by one of the prettiest villages in France, Châteauneuf en Auxois
From Pont-d'Ouche to Dijon (30km)
The old river port where cargo was once loaded onto barges, the canal meanders through the Ouche valley, one of the prettiest parts of the Burgundy Canal.
From Pont-de-Pany to Dijon (20kms)
The tow-path along side the canal will take you to Lake Kir on the outskirts of Dijon and then into the city.
Cycle through the Vineyards
Beaune to Santenay 20KMS
North West of DIJONBeaune. Starting from the Parc de la Bouzaise, the véloroute runs alongside the Clos (walled vineyard) de la Mousse, and then climbs gently through the vineyards to Pommard which we reach at the Clos de la Commaraine.
Pommard 3 kms from Beaune
The véloroute runs through the village and then climbs towards Volnay alongside the vineyards of Pommard-Rugiens and Volnay-Frémiets; superb view over the plain of the Saône with the Jura mountains beyond.
Volnay 4,8 kms from Beaune
Leaving the village, we drop down towards the chapel of Notre-Dame de Pitié and the premier cru vineyards of Les Champans and Les Santenots.
Meursault 8,6 from Beaune
We pass in front of the town hall with its roof of coloured and varnished tiles, and then cross the vineyards of Les Porruzots, Les Genevrières and Les Charmes; we reach Puligny by the premier cru vineyards of Les Folatières and Les Pucelles.
Puligny-Montrachet 13kms from Beaune
From the main square we head for Chassagne-Montrachet (view over the hills of the Côte Chalonnaise). We cycle below the vineyards of Le Batard-Montrachet before crossing the secondary road CD 906 and climbing up to the village of Chassagne-Montrachet.
Chassagne-Montrachet 15 kms from Beaune
We go through the village (Clos Saint-Jean in the middle), go down between the premiers cru vineyards of La Maltroie and Les Champgrains, and then hug the hillside at the foot of the ruins of the abbey of Morgeot.
Santenay 20kms from Beaune
The arrival is via the premier cru vineyard of Les Gravières. Continuation possible by taking the Voie Verte alongside the Canal du Centre, either towards Chagny and Chalon-sur-Saône or towards Saint-Léger-sur-Dheune (see “Canal du Centre” itinerary).
