Whether you’re planning to stay for a few days or just for a weekend treat yourself, family and friends to one of Max’s 5 star Burgundy “Wine, Historical & Discovery Tours”.
Pick up in front of the apartment or an agreed meeting point in Dijon or where your holiday accommodation is.
From Dijon the famous wine road takes you through wine villages whose names are known all over the world at every turning point you will marvel the exquisite landscapes, local countryside, vineyards, forests, pretty villages, chapels, castles etc. an appealing way to discover and enjoy the region with Max who will be your private tour guide for the day, he has lived and worked in the region for the last 25 years, he certainly knows where to go!
Program and prices for a one day "Wine, Historical & Discovery Tour" with Max.
PRICES for the day 9:15hrs - 18:00hrs
- 1. Price for a group of 4 : 300 euros (lunch is extra)
- 2. Price for a group of 6 : 400 euros (lunch is extra)
- 3. Price for a group of 8 : 500 euros (lunch is extra)
PROGRAM for the day:-
Depart Dijon or wherever your holiday accommodation is at 9:15hrs
Discovery tour of the "Clos de Vougeot" - a symbolic spot here in Burgundy - a 12th Century wine-making barn constructed by monks and now surrounded by its famous vineyards. Visit of a wine grower in the Côte de Nuits.
Visit to a small family Château, the only Château amongst the Grands Crus of the Côte de Beaune for a wine tasting in cellars dating back to the XVth century in one of the most famous villages in the Côte d’Or.
If you are very interested in wine and would like to buy wine then a private wine tasting can be reserved for you at a famous wine growers where you will not be disappointed!
Please note, after visiting these places for many years on arrival Max is always welcomed with open arms making the tastings relaxed and fun!
Time in the Capital of the Burgundy wine region, Beaune if wished you can visit the Medieval Hospital (Hospices de Beaune) founded in 1441 or have time to stroll in the streets.
Lunch (extra) is on the outskirts of Beaune in a famous pretty wine village in the Côte de Beaune where you will be able to sample the best garlic snails in Burgundy (there is a choice of other entrées) and definitely the best Coq au Vin. Please count on 25 euros per person.
17:00hrs if time and if wished visit of a fairy tale château "La Rochepot" full of Burgundian history or return to Dijon alongside the Burgundy Canal, driving through part of the beautiful Ouche Valley where you will be driven alongside the Burgundy Canal and where you will have time to wonder around a small hilltop 12thCentury medieval village before driving back in Dijon (35 mins) where you will feel exhausted after Max's 5 star Burgundy "Wine, Historical & Discovery Tour"!

We loved Max. We loved Max. What a wonderful day. Max is charming, thoughtful, energetic, funny, and just one of the nicest people you would meet anywhere in the world. There were 8 of us and Max made an effort to form a bond with each one of us and make each one of us feel special. He was concerned about our every movement and even walked us directly to the train platform. He stopped whenever we wanted "photo ops" . Lunch was exquisite. We will be back to see Max and next time we want to meet the loverly Beatrice. Next time we will stay in Burgundy or perhaps have Max and you find a boat that we can rent anf just float for a week. It was a great day, one of our best in France and you may use this quote. Many thanks. |

US wine tours and noticed that a lot of Burgundy wine tours are using
localwineevents.com to advertise trips to the Burgundy region on their
site in multiple US cities. I use this site and have good response.
